Welcome to the Brisbane Dog Training Club
Established in 1961, we are a not-for-profit community group for training handlers and their dogs. We run regular training courses and casual classes aimed at developing positive relationships with dogs and creating a well-behaved family pet.
We welcome anyone who wants to learn positive reinforcement-based dog training. Our aim is to create a positive environment for sharing knowledge, offering support and fostering friendships to help people improve their lives with their dogs.
We generally offer the following courses and classes periodically.
These times are indicative only - please check your emails about exact dates and times if you are enrolled in a course.
Please note that Family Dog Training 1 courses are not available until 2026 at this stage.
Family Dog Training 1 & 2 are pre-requisites for all other courses and classes unless otherwise assessed.

| Tuesday from 7pm | Agility 1 Foundations and Agility 2 Handling Skills courses |
| Wednesday from 7pm | Agility Intermediate/Advanced (casual) |
| Thursday from 5.45pm | Puppy Preschool, Family Dog Training 1 courses and Hoopers or Tricks (casual) |
| Sunday from 4pm | Family Dog Training 1 or 2 courses |

As an affiliate of Dogs Queensland, we host four dog trials a year in agility or scent work. More information is available under trials.
Our club is run entirely by volunteers and we always need more helpers.
